Amity Institute of Environmental Toxicology, Safety and Management (AIETSM) is pleased to announce a national workshop on "Pollution Prevention Paradigm" on Friday, May 11th, 2012 at Amity University Campus, Noida.

The workshop is being organized by Amity University, AUUP and Ministry of Earth Sciences (MOES).

Aims and objective of the workshop:

The workshop aims at various types of pollution affecting our environment, its health hazards on our living system and preventive ways to keep a check on the proliferating menace of pollution. A number of chemicals that are released into the air or water can cause adverse health effects. Pollution control is therefore an important component of disease control, and health professionals and authorities need to develop partnerships with other sectors to identify and implement priority interventions. Developing countries face major water quantity and quality challenges, compounded by the effects of rapid industrialization. Air pollution due to motor vehicles in metro cities giving negative health impacts is well established.

The workshop would focus on preventive steps that can be taken to curb the ever increasing problem of pollution.
