Clay Modelling, Painting and Wood Carving Workshop

Clay modelling, painting and wood carving workshop were organized by Amity School of Fine Art, Amity University Gurugram on 13-14th March 2018 to share the latest trends and techniques in Fine Art field.

Dr Ranjan Kumar Malik, HOD, Amity School of Fine Art gave the opening remarks stating the importance of the workshop for Fine Arts' students.  Mr Umesh Chandra Nayak, the resource person gave the demonstration of clay modelling and discussed method and techniques about the handling of potter wheel. Woodcarving session was followed by Clay modelling in which faculty and students demonstrated the methods and techniques of wood sculpture and presented the work on the same. On Second-day, session begins with the motivating words of Prof (Dr) Padmakali Banerjee, Pro-Vice-Chancellor. She had shared her life experience of how the technique of art changed her life and always helped her to solve many issues in routine life. Subsequently, Painting Workshop begins with an exhibition of Painting, Sculpture and Print-making. Students were guided about the modern technique of Painting and Sculpture making and they had learned about honing their creative skills.
