The Amity Nursing College embraces the mission and values of the principles of Nursing to promote high quality education and practice. The aim of the school is to educate nurses and other health care professionals to provide the best health care services coupled with the ethic of caring.
The mission is consistent with a commitment to provide excellence in education, research, practice, and community service. The nursing faculty have embraced the constructs of knowledge, clinical competence, teaching and learning, leadership and management, continuous change, scientific research, role function, and professionalism as the essential matrix of the Nursing Curriculum. These constructs reflect the faculty's belief in the values of competent and humane patient care, ethical behavior, interdisciplinary collaboration, and life-long learning.
The philosophy of education is based on the conceptual model that humans cannot be understood, appreciated, or treated apart from the environment.
Its my firm belief that the nursing program will provide a spectrum of healthcare, spanning both generalist, comprehensive care and specialty care based on educational preparation and clinical experience.
Our partner institutions share our values and beliefs about humans and healthcare. Our students enjoy a rich immersion into higher education and health sciences through exposure to a diverse, interdisciplinary faculty and a wealth of clinical experiences.
