  • The mission of ASGO is to prepare the leaders for service to the democratic societies within and outside India. ASGO provides training for public leadership with a world vision. As a professional institution, ASGO is dedicated to promote learning through research and experience, actively fostering the collaborative efforts of scholars, public officials, and others that are vitally concerned with the public good.
  • In keeping with this objective, the ASGO would adopt the UNDP definition of Governance as "the exercise of economic, political and administrative authority to manage a country's affairs at all levels… it comprises the mechanisms, processes and institutions through which citizens and groups articulate their interests, exercise their legal rights, meet their obligations and mediate their differences."
