The Amity Institute of Advanced Legal Studies [AIALS] is a postgraduate institution of Amity University Uttar Pradesh imparting instruction in various legal disciplines at Master’s, Doctoral and Post-Doctoral levels.

The Institute is a centre of Excellence for inter-disciplinary research and higher studies in law and other related branches of learning. The alumni of the Institute are servicing at very senior positions notably Judge of Supreme Court of Bangladesh, Vice-Chairperson of State Law Commission and the Institute actively sponsors International Conferences in several countries. The Institute regularly organizes seminars and talks by eminent national and international jurists for its students. The Institute has bilateral arrangements for academic collaboration with the following foreign institutions:-

2. St Gabriel Institute of Religion and Theology, Modling, Austria
3. Faculty of Law, Syarif Hidayatullah University, Jakarta, Indonesia
4. Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
5. International Centre for Law and Religion Studies, Brigham Young University, Provo City, United States

In collaboration with some of these institutions AIALS participates in the organization of international conferences on select themes. Such collaborative events have in the past been held in India, Nepal and Malaysia.
