| SCOPE OF PROGRAMS : |
MBA in Biotechnology Management is a highly competitive and professional program pioneered at Amity Institute of Biotechnology. This course has the maximum demand in the industry as the candidates are techno-managers specially trained for the science/technology driven business of biotechnology. The highest package being offered to the candidates in this program has already crossed 7.4 LPA. The candidates also get to chose from the widest array of job profiles available in the industry.
M.Tech Biotechnology, M.Sc. Biotechnology and M.Sc. Bioinformatics are the foundation courses towards grooming the future scientists. Most of the students from these courses opt for research careers and hence enroll for Ph.D. IN a typical batch, 60% of students opt for jobs right after MSc, in technical, sales, product management or publishing divisions of various firms and 40% opt for Ph.D. The salary of job seekers varies from 2.0 LPA to 3.2 LPA. The Ph.D. aspirants are well placed both in India and abroad in renowned institutions. Our students are currently enrolled in Ph.D. programs at CCMB, University of Delhi, CSIR labs and universities in US, Europe and Australia.
B.Tech Biotechnology and B.Tech Bioinformatics undergraduate program students are well trained engineers but they should not be compared with the traditional engineering streams like mechanical, computers, electrical etc. Although the IT industry is waking up to the fact that AIB B.Tech Biotechnology and Bioinformatics students fit perfectly in the IT industry; even as a software engineers. More than 50% of our B.Tech batch students have been getting high paid jobs in various top IT firms since 2007. (The minimum salary offered yet is 3.0 LPA). However there is a section of students in every batch that aspires to gain a respectable and fast growing career in core biotechnology area. Such students are advised to add a higher academic degree to their profile. These aspirants either opt for management programs, MS or even Ph.D. Further there are students who opt for a job in the biotechnology industry right after BTech. in technical, sales, product management or publishing divisions of various firms. The salary varies from 2.0 LPA to 3.2 LPA
