 Amity institute of Biotechnology was awarded ISO-9001 and 14001 for its quality and environmental management systems applicable to Biotechnology Education, Training and Research by BSI in 2007. AIB is one of the few accredited Biotechnology Institute to achieve this honors in the country.
The mission of the Amity Institute of Biotechnology is to equip the students with extraordinary skills for life, making them not just job seekers, but also job creators. Amity Institute of Biotechnology has taken a lead in initiating a programme in the most challenging area with high-tech advancement in meeting the growing need of Biotechnology and bioinformatics to sustain the industrial venture and also in achieving the greater task of environmental sustainability, healthcare and agriculture.
AIB possesses the most modern infrastructure in terms of Tissue Culture Labs, Microbiology, Central Instrumentation facility, Computational Biology, Biochemical Techniques and Molecular Biology. Further, a 60-acre herbal garden with greenhouse facilities, a well-stocked library and state-of-art computing room, facilitate research and consultancy.

LABORATORIES
Amity Institute of Biotechnology has 33 biotechnology (including 6 research laboratories) and 7 bioinformatics laboratories. The biotechnology laboratories are specialized and equipped to conduct advanced practicals and research work. Some specialized laboratories include: Molecular Biology, Recombinant DNA Technology, Microbiology, Animal Biotechnology, Animal Cell Culture, Plant Biotechnology equipped with Plant Tissue Culture facility, Immunology, Genomics, Proteomics, Bioprocess Technology, Downstream Processing, Fermentation Biology, Toxicology, Microbial Technology, Biochemistry etc. The laboratories are equipped with state-of-art equipments like Gel documentation system, CO2 Incubator, -86o C Refrigerator, Elisa readers, Ultracentrifuge, Tissue sonicator, Tissue homogenisor, Peltier regulated UV—VIS Spectrophotometer, Gradient Thermal Cyclers, Type I Water Systems, Inverted Phase Contrast Microscope, Lyophilizer, PCR, HPLC, Ice Flaking Machine, UV—VIS Spectrophotometer (single and double beam), Refrigerated Centrifuge, B.O.D. incubator, Metabolic Shakers, Electrophoresis systems (vertical and horizontal), Shaker Water Baths, Media Filtration systems, Plant Growth Chambers, Fermenter, Muffle Furnace.

THE
COMPUTER CENTRE
AIB has state-of-the-art computing facilities. Students can leverage the power of IT and experience the learning process which is both informative and interesting. The computing facility comprises of Intel Pentium processor based HP/IBM machines and servers. The entire network rests on four Firewall (Intranet, Mail, Attachment File & Print) HP and IBM servers. Students and faculty members alike can access the internet throughout the campus with the help of broadband radio link and ISDN link backup. A range of latest subject specific softwares are available to enable the students to work on data analysis, web technologies and also software designing. Efficient intranet facility enables smooth movement of data across departments. AIB has the following licensed softwares for Computational Biology and Molecular Modelling- Schrodinger, HyperChem and EXOME.

AIB has a well-equipped library with the latest in reference books, periodicals, journals and newspapers. The students also have access to the libraries of sister institutions approximating over 30,000 books both Indian and foreign, scientific journals, magazines and periodicals covering technical and management subjects.

• Built to match International standards, the three auditoriums at Amity can seat a total of 1700 people comfortably. These act as common ground for students, faculty and corporate personalities for regular interface and other management events.
• The fully integrated three Seminar Halls seat a total of 400 people and are equipped with advanced presentation tools for audiovisual interactions.

Military Training
- Students have to undergo compulsory Military Camp as a part of their personality development program.
- During this fully residential program, the students imbibe the value of discipline in life and a spirit of patriotism, commitment and perseverance, by participating in various activities like parasailing, trekking, shooting and many other activities that test their mental and physical agility.
