About the course
Duration
As per the Amity University Rules.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Candidate for admission to the course for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology, must have from a recognized University in India or any University abroad
a) Obtained an M.Phil. Degree in Psychology from a recognized University.
Or
b) Completed MA/M.Sc. Psychology with 55% marks and above from an Indian or Foreign University.
Or
c) Completed MA/M.Sc. Applied Psychology with 55% marks and above.
Or
d) Completed M.Sc. in Counseling and Psychotherapy of two years duration from Institute for Psychotherapy and Management Sciences, Mumbai*
Or
e) Those who have secured less than 55% marks, in their post graduate diploma*
Or
f) Working as Psychologist with 5 years experience with MA/M.Sc. Psychology or Applied Psychology
*Candidates belonging to this category must take up a bridge course. (Details given)
In addition to the above, the following conditions for eligibility apply
a) The eligibility conditions for admission to various programmes/courses of study including Ph.D at the entry points and selectively for horizontal entry and any other matter related to admissions shall be prescribed by the Academic Council from time to time. Eligibility shall not ip-so-facto imply admission.
b) The admissions to the approved Academic Programmes offered in University Teaching Departments/Centres/Institutions shall be made under the supervision and control of a Standing Admission Committee.
c) A student seeking admission to University Teaching Department/Centre/Institution shall on or before the date prescribed for submission of applications for admissions, submit his duly filled in prescribed application form along with the fee of submission to the University/Centre/Institution as the case may be.
