NEET coaching in Delhi NCR

National eligibility and entrance test select suitable candidates for MBBS, dental course BDS, or postgraduate course MD / MS in government and private medical colleges in the country. The NEET undergraduate for medical courses is conducted by the central board of secondary education. In the year 2013, the NEET replaced the all India pre medical test AIPMT and MBBS entrance exams conducted by the states, individually. Students desirous of joining the medical course must clear the NEET exam.

EXAM PATTERN

All India Pre Medical Test NEET

Admission to the first year of MBBS and BDS seats in the various government Medical and Dental Colleges of India except institutions in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir, is sought through All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examinations AIPMT (NEET). The list for DPMT (Delhi Pre Medical Test) is also made, based on the ranks secured in the CBSE- AIPMT (NEET) examination.

Admission in the various State level Medical and Dental colleges can be sought by appearing in state level Medical Entrance Examinations such as UP-CPMT, HPMT (Haryana-PMT), UK-PMT (Uttarakhand PMT), AIIMS etc., whereas admission to various govt. medical colleges are solely based on the AIPMT (NEET) or based on the state ranks achieved. These examinations evaluate the student on the basic knowledge of the subjects & the ability to apply the same for expediency. It requires a planned, systematic & conscious preparation and modest operandi. This entrance test is conducted for the 15% merit positions in the Medical/Dental Colleges of India as specified in the directives of the Supreme Court and will be governed by the rules and regulations specified for the same by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India from time to time.

There are also State Governments/Universities/Institutions voluntarily participating in the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test - 2017 for using its merit list for admission in the Medical Colleges/Dental Colleges against seats under their control. The responsibility of the CBSE is limited to the conducting of the entrance test, declaring results and providing merit list to the DGHS and participating States/Universities/Institutions. The counselling for successful candidates under 15% All India Quota seats is conducted by the DGHS and the Counselling for Admission in seats under the control of other participating States/Universities/Institutions shall be conducted by their respective Authorities. During counselling, the eligibility criteria, self- declaration, various documents etc., of the eligible candidates are verified as per norms specified by the respective authorities and Medical/Dental Colleges.

New Examination Pattern of CBSE –AIPMT (NEET)

The Entrance Test will consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen only. The duration of the paper would be 3 hours. The question Papers for the test will be based on a common syllabus notified by the Medical Council of India.

All India Pre Medical Test AIPMT (NEET)

Eligibility Criteria

The following criteria shall be met in order to appear in NEET

  1. Age: Minimum 17 years, at the time of admission. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC category.
  2. Academic: Minimum 50% marks for General category students and 40% for SC/ST/OBC category students in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together (i.e. aggregate). Students must pass Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects individually.
  3. Entrance Qualifying Criteria: 50th percentile for GC, 45th percentile for GC-PH and 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC students in NEET are required to ensure that no seat remains unfilled.
  4. Persons with Locomotor Disability of Lower Limbs: the minimum of 45% marks for Gen-PH and 40% marks for SCPH/ ST-PH/OBC-PH are required. Provided that a candidate who has appeared in the qualifying examination the result of which has not been declared, he may be provisionally permitted to take up the competitive Entrance Test and in case of selection for admission to the MBBS course, he shall not be admitted to that course until he fulfills the eligibility criteria under Rules and Regulation.
