No educational effort is worthwhile unless it has a focus on the socio-economic fibre of the society. No society can prosper unless its industrial activity is in tune with the global vision and modern technology. The two must interweave on strong value-based cultural strings. Our values teach us to respect our resources, preserve them, conserve them and develop them. We want to be leaders in terms of knowledge management so that every resource that we produce or consume is efficiently utilized without creating any adverse impact on the quality of our lives at home or at workplace: Energy and Environment are two sides of every industrial activity. Proper understanding of the cause and effect on their continuous interaction is what we want to understand through the activities of Amity Institute of Energy & Environment (AIEE): Legislation and legalization are the instruments of governance, but the complete understanding and disciplining of decent work has to be a way of life. My desire is that the AIEE should be able to impart quality education and training through its professionally-designed curricula and experienced faculty. The Institute has rightly thought to start Post Graduate teaching in the fields of Energy and Environment. I wish them good luck. |
