Amity Universe, under the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF) is a premier educational organisation which has gone a long way in taking challenges over challenges to impart quality education through its various schools & colleges. For the last decade, there is a drastic change in education due to rapid growth and emergence of new technologies like Information technology, Bio-technology and Nano-technology. Technology changes due to emergence of new technologies, and the changes are so fast that they become obsolete in no time. Therefore, in this changing world of technologies we have to tune our educational systems so as to address the new sciences and technologies to compete with the global scenario.

Nano-technology is an emerging area. It is in the infancy stage and will change the world. Nano-technology is going to be the key area for 21st century. Considering the importance and relevance of this new scientific discipline we have decided to set up an `Amity Institute of Nano-technology’. This institute happens to be the first in the Country. We are proud of sowing the seeds of a New Science and Technology oriented towards higher learning and understanding of new materials at atomic and molecular dimensions. The institute will generate and utilise this new science through teaching, training & research. We expect that the world class scientists will be attracted to work in this sole Institute of the country.
