Future Prospects

This course is envisaged to provide an understanding about the discipline with special emphasis on the application of the different aspects of psychology across various settings. It is a modern and progressive area of study and, despite having a 150-year history, is currently experiencing unprecedented growth and development nationally and internationally. Across the programme, all the key areas of psychology are studied, including practical and project work.

AIPS is offering two-year M.A. Psychology with Specialization in Counseling Psychology. This course is envisaged to provide training to students towards making them professional counselling psychologists. Counselling Psychologists are a pre-requisite for each educational institution (schools & colleges), hospitals, health, rehabilitation and social welfare departments of the Central and State Government, Corporate Sectors, training Industry, Non-Governmental Organizations, National & State Level Commission for Women & Children. This course is specially designed for professionals who need a basic understanding of the discipline of psychology and counseling skills as value addition for their respective jobs. Doctors, mental health professionals, teachers, human resource managers, social workers, corporate mentors, to name a few, will benefit by being more effective in their chosen profession.
