Senior Annual Day and Prize Distribution Ceremony
With the blessings and under the eternal guidance of our revered Founder President Dr. Ashok K Chauhan sir and our ever esteemed Chairperson Dr. Mrs. Amita Chauhan Ma’am Amity International School, Pushp Vihar celebrated its Senior Annual Day and Prize Distribution Ceremony for the session 2007-2008 on the 15th November 2008 with great aplomb in the school premises.
HE Miguel Angel Ramirez Ramos, the Ambassador of Republic of Cuba was the Chief Guest for the occasion and Mr. Rashid Mairza Mahmoud Al Mulla was the Guest of Honour who graced the occasion.
The programme began with the welcome of the renowned dignitaries by the Head of the school, Mrs. Ameeta Mohan who expressed her vision for the future of the school by proudly recounting the achievements of her students in the past year.
It was followed by the prize distribution and a scintillating performance by the school orchestra and choir. The scholarships for academic excellence were announced and the guests were highly impressed by the holistic achievements of the Amitians. It was then followed by the brightest moment of the evening – JUNOON.
Inspired by the Junoon of our honourable Founder President Dr. Ashok K Chauhan Sir to make India a super power by the year 2030, ‘Junoon’ was incepted and perfected.
It was a presentation which spoke lot with the minimal use of dialogue. It reflected man’s focused pursuit – his perseverance – his never say no attitude. Its optimism was reflected in depicting man’s strive towards progress – his endless efforts and hardships which he has faced willingly in face of all adversity to reach this pinnacle of success where he stands today but still aspires to reach out and touch the skies.
There was 100% participation of students from classes IV – IX. The show was a great success and each and every parent applauded and commended it. They were highly impressed with the way the students had been trained to perform and the theme they said was simply great.
