The Winter Fiesta

The winter came feasting at the Winter Fiesta at Amity International School, Pushp Vihar on 12th of December’ 09. The sprawling school grounds wore a colorful and festive look which reflected in the smiling and cheerful faces of the children whose excitement grew with every passing second.  It was a bright and sunny day with a slight nip in the air in the early hours.  With every passing hour the glorious sun spread its warmth.  There was something for everyone – be it any age group -at the Winter Fiesta.  Parent’s flocked along with their children.  They had numerous games to choose from – some thought provoking – other testing their might & skill.  The food stalls served scrumptious eatables and swings were phenomenal.  There were long queues for the rides as even the parents wanted to share the pleasurable moments with their off springs.  The highlight of the day delighted of their grandchildren.  It was a much applauded & appreciated show as many grandparents had made it a point not to miss this one event and all of them waited till the announcement of the prizes with baited breath,  The jam session too was a great success where students danced to the latest beats and rocked the dance floor.

The art competition for classes KG & I was held there as well.  The topic was age appropriate and it was great to see the budding artists wield their brushes and colours to create master strokes.  The school was indeed a riot of colours.  Everyone was on their toes.  Every child had been designated duties.  There were prizes for the best decorated stall and the stall that earned the maximum revenue.  Overall it was a fun filled day with a lot of excitement and feasting.  Everyone enjoyed and many parents and grandparents came over to the Vice Principal Ma’am to thank her for organizing a mega event most efficiently.

The day was right, the season perfect, the coordination smooth and the whole effect was great & wonderful.

Bal Mela

“I gave him a hug.  Someway, I realized he though I was a child, too.  And for a split second, I felt like a kid I had once been.
“Happy Children’s Day!”
At Amity International School, Pushp Vihar, children of the Primary Wing had a thrilling experience when they got a chance to be a part of the “AQUA” world.  The Bal Mela themed ‘AQUA’ was held from the 10th of November to the 13th of November’ 09.  Our dear children of ‘AMITASHA’ also were a part of this mela.  Oh how beautiful and colorful they looked dressed up in colorful clothes this day.  On each day they started their trip to the Aqua world with a ride on the merry go round, followed by a ride on the bouncy, a game of catching a fish with a rod, playing in the sand pit, having corns and candy floss and last but not the least a yummy treat of a delicious burger, an ice cream, a juice and an apple that when had keeps the doctor away.  To cherish these never to return memorable days, the young and smart models of Amity enjoyed their photo shoot.
