February’ 09


On 6th February 2009, the students of class III to VIII went to Manesar along with the teachers. We reached there around 11am. Harish Sir and Lata Ma’am were there to welcome the students and the staff members. They had their own teachers who were trained in handling the kids.

When we reached, we were given welcome drink and the instructions were given to the students about what rules they had to follow. The students were divided into different ropes (groups) in which they had to remain till the camp ended. At 1pm. , lunch was provided to the students and the teachers. Then, the students were taken for river crossing, army tunnel and bridge crossing. Difference groups were taken for different activities. The teachers also went with the instructors and the students. At 4 p.m. snacks were served along with tea to the teachers and Bourn vita to the students. Then again, the students were taken for the various activities. At 6:30 pm, students were allowed to rest for an hour during which Harish Sir briefed the students regarding night trekking. Around 7:45, they were taken for night trekking with their torches. The students were very excited and teachers also accompanied them. The sports teachers were encouraging and guiding the students while trekking. After the trekking got over,  students got tired. The dinner was served to them. After that for the students’ enjoyment, Lata ma’am made the students dance on the sizzling new dance numbers for half an hour.  At 10pm the students went to sleep in the rooms provided to them. Rooms were good and cosy.  Mattresses were given to the students of class III and IV as well as the teachers. Class V, VI, VII and VII were made to stay in the tents along with the teachers.

On 7th February, everyone got up at 6 am. We gathered for the assembly at 7am. It was very cold and dense fog was there. After the assembly, we went to have breakfast. The food was good. After the breakfast, the senior students went for rock climbing, jumaring and rapling. The juniors went for bridge crossing and rope climbing. Then, the students also did shooting. The juniors went for  bridge crossing and rope climbing. Then, the students also did shooting. They enjoyed it. Then they came for lunch. After the lunch, again they were taken for various activities. At 4 pm, they were given snacks and they were given a task that each rope had to perform on any dance number of their choice. Teachers had to prepare the students. Te students, with the help of the teachers, prepared their dances. After the dinner, the students performed on the dance numbers. Everyone enjoyed a lot. At 10pm, all of us went to sleep.

On 8th February, everyone again gathered at 7am for the assembly. After the assembly, everyone had breakfast. Then students were taken to the herbal garden and they came back on camel cart. At 1 pm, everyone had lunch. Then, prizes were given to those students who did all the activities nicely. Before leaving, all the students and the teachers were given chocolates. Then, all of us at 2:30pm, and reached school at 4:30pm.

Overall it was a very nice trip. The food served was sumptuous. It was made by a lot of warmth of affection. Meal was proved 4 times in the day. Proper care of the students as well as the teachers was taken. The trip was very refreshing and adventurous for the students at well as the teachers.

January’ 09

Delhi Darshan

Class I went for the Delhi Darshan Trip on 20th January.09. It was an educational and an interesting trip where in the students visited the Qutub Minar, Shanti Van, Veer Bhoomi, Shakti Sthala, Rajghat, Gandhi Samridhi and Indraprastha Park. Children were told about the Samadhi they visited and who each one of them belonged to. Children enjoyed watching the boat used by Gandhiji during the Dandi March and the jeep that carried his mortal remains kept in the Gandhi Samridhi. They enjoyed taking a strolls near the lake connecting Shanti Van to Rajghat. The children were provided with McDonald’s burger for the breakfast and they enjoyed the delicious Chinese lunch at Indraprastha Park. The children reached back school at 3:30 pm. It was really an enjoyable trip.

Bal Bhawan Trip

The KG children were taken for an excursion to the Bal Bhawan on 21st January’09.Different activities were there for the children like clay modeling, wood craft, mask making, art & craft, colouring etc. Each child was made to participate in one of the activities.

They were also taken around & shown the Traffic Park where traffic signals & traffic rules were explained to them,the aquarium which had different varieties of fish like cat fish, gold fish.

In the mythological museum the children were fascinated by the colourful depictions from Ramayana & Mahabharatha. The next section was the sun gallery where the model of the Solar System was shown & explained.

Last but not the least our children were taken to a section where the beautiful art & craftsmanship of the children aged between 5-16 years were on display. Overall it was an extremely enjoyable as well as a learning experience for all.

Trip to Nehru Planetarium
Class II , 24th December , 2008

Children were very excited about their visit to Nehru Planetarium . We had already given them an introduction as to what they would see there . The show started at 9:30 am . The planetarium had a dome shaped roof which was the screen . As the children settled down it was darkness all around and we could see the night sky studded with starts . The children were absolutely spellbound . The show gave an introduction as to how the planets , sun , earth , moon came in existence millions or years ago . Each and every detail of the solar system was depicted very beautifully . How the days and nights are caused , how the seasons change , what are constellations and meteors, asteroids, all these things were very vividly presented . Children listened and watched very attentively and were engrossed in the show . As the show ended , we visited the space museum next to the planetarium . The museum displayed the modelsof various planets , solar system , dresses of astronauts , surface of moon , pictures of various astronauts and space expeditions . All these things and the show reinforced the concept of The Solar System "learned by them in EVS. They enjoyed the trip very much.

CLASS – I Excursions - Mahavir Sthala

Class I was taken for a trip to the Mahavir Sthala on 7th November.08. The architecture and statue of Lord Mahavir resonates the historical past of our country. The children were made aware of the teachings of Lord Mahavira and him being the founder of Jainism. The children enjoyed playing in the lush green lawns at the sthala. Though it was a short trip within the school hours but the children had a gala and an enriching educational trip.
