  • DAIMUN i.e. MUN organized by Dhirubhai Ambani Group of Schools, Mumbai

Dhirubhai Ambani International Model United Nation (DAIMUN) – 29th – 31st October 2010

Based on the Hague Model (THIMUN), DAIMUN pattern was extremely new for the students who participated in it for the first time. Students deliberated on various issues representing as World Bank sportspersons.

Most of the students were from class IX except one who was from class X, hence it was a challenge to compete with experienced MUNNERS. However it is important to mention that it was a learning experience for the students as they were exposed to the nuances of MUNNING and got the required zest and zeal to compete in the next MUN with more vigour and a triumphant outlook.

  • BMUN: Vidya Niketan School, Bangalore MUN – 25th – 27th November 2010

The Bangalore MUN conducted by Vidya Niketan School, Hebbal, It was a wonderful experience for the students.
The countries allotted to our students were Greece and Israel. Israel is one of the most controversial nations as it is constantly opposed by UN because of its attacks on Gaza and HamasHomes. Hence our delegates were constantly grilled on Israel’s foreign and nuclear policies. Yet the students (all first timers and class IX and VIII students) fielded the questions very well. They have proved to be confident and good orators.
A special mention of Rahul Krishana (VIII D) and Aditya Jain (VIII A) is required as they have shown some excellent work and great dedication.

  • AIMUN: Organized by Amity International Schools at Amity University, Noida. It provided an excellent platform for our students to develop their research and presentation skills. The exposure will surely benefit the students in future to bring more accolades to their schools in any national or international forum.
