Teacher’s Training Workshop
By Swami Nikhilananda
of the Chinmaya Mission

Amity International School (PV) was indeed blessed to have his Holiness swami Nikhilananda, the head of the Chinmaya Mission for Delhi and NCR as a guest speaker on the 5th of April, 008. Teacher’s from all sister institutions of Amity reaped the benefit of his ideas and thoughts. He spoke of the ‘Role of a Teacher’ in today’s dynamic environment. He emphasized the need to harness the goodness and remove the shortcomings from among the students. He stressed upon a change in approach with reference to each child for better understanding and compatibility. He proposed a three path formula as a solution which taught a teacher to be good, to be efficient and to be happy. His success mantra was simple and heartfelt. He said one should work with contentment and not for contentment. He answered to various questions raised by the teachers vis a vis their working with the children. It was an enlightening and rejuvenating talk, which enforced a positiveness in each and every listener.

The honorable Chairperson Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan thanked Swamiji profusely for his words of wisdom and reiterated the qualities of a teacher. We at AIS (PV) bow to the teacher of teachers.
