Other Workshops

  • In the dynamic world of today it is essential to keep abreast with the changes and progressive ideas in the field of education. Thus a number of workshops are conducted for the teachers to update them with the latest trends on the education scenario.
  • Workshop on Vasudha by MRS. MADHUPHOOL on 22.02.10. The following were discussed:
    • Theme for the project
    • Date for the project at different levels
    • Type of questionnaire
    • The projects at Iris level
    • Type of data to be presented
    • Two projects from each class
  • Workshop on Facilitative Communication Skills by DR. KANIKA KANDHELWAL ON 15.5.10 In this workshop she discussed-
    • effective role of a teacher
    • body language of a teacher
    • behavior and attitude towards the class
    • Eye contact with students
    • I-messages
    • Encouragement of positive behavior
  • The workshop on ‘using pictures in the classroom’ was conducted by Ms Debi Mukhopadhyay on 1st September 2010. The workshop was very interactive and revolving around the use of pictures in the teaching learning process to make this process interesting and learning easier for the students.
  • Workshop on Information about ‘IT structure’ for users was conducted by Ms. Sunita Kenue on 28.06.10. She recapitulated the basic of computers and usage
  • A workshop on ‘Examination Reforms and CCE’ was conducted by Ms. Renu Anand on 15.5.10. She discussed evaluation as an integral part of teaching learning process and focused on how to conduct formative assessment for English
  • A workshop on ISO 9001:2008 (Awareness Session) was conducted by Mr. Mayak Chakravarty, from Vision Quality Consultants on 20.12.2010.
  • Going Beyond teaching workshop by Swami Nikhilanandji on 24/6/10. Teaching not as a profession but taking it as a devotional duty was the crux of the workshop. He encouraged the teachers to regard their role as a fortune designers and how they can be instrumental in shaping the futures of their students.
  • An English teacher’s workshop on Strategic Teaching Technique was conducted at AIS, Noida on 7/12/10. It helped the senior English teachers to develop and strategize innovative teaching techniques for the senior learners.

Institution’s Achievements

  • Our children participated in the Aerobics Dance Competition organized by Health Ministry in collaboration with MTNL. More than 60 schools participated from all over Delhi and our children bagged silver medal in the Group aerobics in juniors section.

  • Our children participated in Yoga Competition organized by Health Ministry in collaboration with MTNL more than 60 schools participated from all over Delhi and our children bagged bronze medal in group yoga category.
  • Amity International School, Pushp Vihar was invited to participate in the Rajiv Gandhi Akshay Urja Pratishthan organized by TERI. Tvisha Goswami was the proud winner of the slogan writing competition. At a grand ceremony held at Bal Bhawan she was given the first prise by Mrs. Sheela Dixit, the Chief Minister of Delhi.
  • Gazal Singh bagged the III prize in National Computer Graphics Competition Titled ‘Gandhi & Sports’ organized by ‘Youth4Gandhi.
  • Anugya Gupta participated in a state level debate competition organised by Ministry of Labour. She was declared 1st and the overall trophy for the best school participation was awarded to AIS, PV.
  • Samit Sejwal of class V is the National Level Swimming Champ in the under 10 category.
