Global Amity
Mallika Bhardwaj of class XII won a 'Leadership Award' for 'scholarship, leadership and citizenship' at the Global Young Leaders Conference held in New York City - Washington D.C. in June 2006. She was among 312 delegates selected from 50 countries to be attending this conference.
This conference was Global Conclave of leaders where she not only interacted with young leaders from other countries but also leading authors, professors and ambassadors from all over the world. Additionally the delegates got an opportunity to visit the United Nations an watch the various U.N. bodies in session.
According to Mallika, this conference has introduced her to world politics and infused in her a desire to pursue the field of 'International Relations'.
Astronomy Club
The S.P.A.C.E organization had introduced a concept of making school children familiar with the basics of the vast science of Astronomy. The students of the Amity Space club have been subjected to wide range of activities where they learn through observation, demonstration, interaction and experimentation. Sanjana Mohan of class VIII E got the splendid opportunity to accompany the huge group of knowledgeable people to observe the total solar eclipse in Turkey
Exchange Programmes
Amity-elc exchange programme was arranged for the third consecutive year. Seven Amitians accompanied by Ms. Meenu Chopra spent ten days attending classes with the Malaysian students and gleaned an insight into their education and culture.
Amitians shall play hosts to the students from elc when they visit us this December.
Amity saket also has the privilege of being selected as one of the six schools in India to form a cluster and work on collaborative projects with schools in UK under the UKERI project sponsored by the British Council.
