Lenovo Little Thinkers

Kushgra Verma (IX) bagged the grand prize of Rs 1 lac towards college grant while Hargun Kaur Sodhi (VII) won the Lenovo Mix Tablet in the Inter-school ‘Lenovo Little Thinkers’ competition from March to April 2017. Sabyasachi Bhoi (IX) also won a Lenovo wireless mouse as a surprise gift in the competition. The students had to express their ideas through a self-made 2 minute videos on the topics- ‘How technology can improve the cost and quality of education’ and ‘How technology can improve the environment’.

SRCC Global Sustainability Summit


SRCC Global Sustainability Summit, 2017

School team comprising Arushi Gupta, Adhya Sarna and Ahlaam Rafiq of Class X represented the school in The Global Sustainability Summit 2017 oragnised by Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC). The team also won the Second prize in the Global Youth Forum- a successful initiative for students to deliberate, create and present new ideas pertaining to the goals.

Dhananjay Mohan Inter School Science Symposium AIS Noida

The annual inter-school Science Symposium organised by the school on August 3, 2017, aims to provide a platform to inquisitive minds to put forth their innovations in Science. The symposium saw a participation of 19 schools displaying their projects on the topic ‘Smart Life; Smart Devices’. The school also won the e-paper presentation award in the symposium.

Dhananjay Mohan Inter School Science Symposium AIS Noida

This mega event held under the aegis of the Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools and RBEF aims at keeping the spark of curiosity kindled in the young, inquisitive minds by providing them with a platform to put forth their innovations.

The chief guest of the event, Dr R K Kotnala, chief scientist CSIR, in his message emphasised on the importance of technology and the need to be patient. He also extolled the work of Founder President, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, for providing world class facilities for research and innovation.

This year, 15 schools out of 26 were shortlisted to present an E-Paper and Project display on the topic, ‘Changing Lifestyles: Technology A Boon’. Diverse topics like plastic recycling, making cleansing agents from plant waste, generating electricity from plants, use of smart machines, changing healthcare according to lifestyle etc were discussed. The award for the best E-paper Presentation was bagged by AIS PV. The overall trophy for the event went to Blue Bells School. The symposium organised under the guidance of school principal Renu Singh was a grand success.

The 17th edition of Ramanujan- an inter school Math competition saw a participation of over twenty five schools from Delhi/NCR comprising more than 625 students. The event comprised mathematical activities ranging from Problem- Solving and Math fun activity to Math quiz and Project presentation for the students of Classes IV- XII. The winners were felicitated in a valedictory function by school Principal Renu Singh, along with Shelly Kapur, Vice Principal.

Ramanujan Inter-School Math competition

The 16th Ramanujan Inter School Math Competition saw a participation of over 30 schools from Delhi/NCR take part. The competition introduced by Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson Amity Group of Schools and RBEF aimed at awakening curiosity in students in both logical and structural nature of the subject

The event consisted of diverse Mathematical activities ranging from problem solving and Math fun activity to Math quiz and project presentation for students of Classes IV to XII. The winners trophy was bagged by DPS Faridabad, followed by AIS Noida and AIS Saket at the second and third positions respectively.

Ramanujan: Inter School Mathematics competitions

The school organised its 15th Ramanujan Inter School Math Competition under the aegis of Amity Centre for Excellence in Mathematics. The competition conceived by Dr. (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, aimed at promoting exceptional standards in math.The national level competition saw participation of 22 schools comprising around 610 students.

The competition comprised diverse mathematical activities ranging from Problem–Solving and Math Fun activity to Math Quiz and Project Presentation for students of classes 4 to 12. Students participated in the events both at the Individual as well as Team level. The ‘Amity Fun Activity, based on exploring maths in our immediate environment and culture was one of the unique features of the competition. The competition was judged by experts.

The school organised its 15th Inter- school patriotic song competition titled ‘Dhwani’ wherein over 40 schools comprising 400 students took part. The students from various schools portrayed their love for the country in a very melodious way. The participants received the words of appreciation and encouragement from school Principal Renu Singh.

Inter-School Patriotic Song Competition

AIS Noida organised its annual Inter-School Patriotic Song Competition 2016 on August 8, 2016 that saw more than 33 schools take part. The performances replete with intense lyrics and powerful instrumental music, left everyone awestruck. A feeling of true patriotism rose over the hearts of all the listeners present in the auditorium. The first position was bagged by AIS PV. The judges expressed their immense happiness at the beauty of the spell-binding music that enveloped their ears and, above all, their hearts.

Patriotic song competition 'Dwani' to commemorate the 68th year of Indian Independence

The very vibrant and colourful Inter school patriotic song competition, ‘Dwani’was held at Amity International School , Noida on the 13 th of August,2015. A total of 32 schools participated in this grand event which has been conceived by the respected Chairperson of the Amity group of schools, Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan , who feels that a patriotic fervour can only be instilled into the youth, through music and songs.

Amity has been hosting this competition since the last 15 years, as a celebration of our Independence. Schools like Presidium, Gd goenka, DPS, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and many more eminent public schools from Noida as well as Delhi took part in the competition and won the hearts of the audience by their melodious performances. All the songs sung at the competition were self composed, and therefore were appreciated by the judges for their creativity. The winner of the competition was the Vishwa Bharti School , while the other two positions went to Amity, Vasundhara and Amity, Saket .

The Principal of A.I.S, Noida, Mrs Renu Singh said that Songs are those pieces of emotion and joy which do not fail to move anyone and thus the love for one’s country should also be sung with great spirit and verve.

The school hosted its tenth Geomaty, an inter school social science festival on July 15, 2017 on the theme ‘Sustainable Development and Rivers of India’. Various enthralling activities like Nukkad Natak, Face Painting, Graffiti, Skits and Quizzes were held on the day’s theme. Students created artwork on walls using vibrant spray paints and chalk, coded interactive websites using HTML, CSS and Java Script and delivered stunning musical drama performances.

The school organized ninth Geomaty on July 16, 2016, a social science competition initiated by Dr. Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools & RBEF to make learning social science in a fun way. The theme of the event was ‘Progressive Mankind and the Changing World & the Heritage of our state, Sikkim’. Top twenty-eight schools from Delhi and NCR participated in the event.

Students from Classes IV to XII participated in various activities and competitions as Harvest Festival, Poster Making competition, Face Painting Activity, Map marking and map reading quiz, Webology competition, Nukkad Natak, and Graffiti competition.

The Social Science department of the senior school at Amity (Noida) organizes an inter-school Social Science Competition called Geomaty, in which prestigious schools across NCR participate in this mega event.
