NTSE 2017-18


NTSE is one of the oldest and most prestigious scholarship exams in India devised by NCERT to identify and nurture talented students with exceptional aptitude in Science and Math. Evaluated and rewarded for their mental aptitude, language aptitude and scholastic NTSE scholars are highly respected across academia and beyond. Each year around two thousand NTSE scholarships are awarded for different stages of education.


Amitians have once again proven their scholastic mettle and emerged victorious at NTSE. 17 out of top 20 ranks in states of Haryana, Delhi and UP have been bagged by Amitians. Samyak Jain secured 8th rank in UP at NTSE Stage 1. He has also topped Gautam Buddha Nagar district. Other prominent NTSE 2018 scholars from the school are Avi Patni - Rank 13, Nikhil Gupta -Rank 15, Stuti Lohani and Ananya Mehrotra - Rank 16, Shrugal Tayal, Rahul Agarwal (AFYCP) and Nishaant Rastogi - Rank 19.

GTSE (Global Talent Search Examination)

Global Talent Search Examination (GTSE) is an Amity initiative to awaken the scientific thinking in young minds. This examination aims to test the skills of the students in the fields of science and mathematics. GTSE also serves as unique platform for the students to learn beyond their regular curriculum and prepare themselves with an edge for any future competitions.

GTSE was held on November 23rd, 2006 for the very first time where about 5000 students participated from Classes V- XII. The event turned out to be a success with the participation of many reputed schools like AIS, Delhi Public School, Bal Bharti School, Army public School, Cambridge School, City Montessori School (Lucknow) etc.

Since then the successful journey of GTSE has moved up and ahead serving as a unique platform for the students to showcase their skills and talents. Being held every year on 23rd November, for Classes Class I to XII, GTSE has witnessed about more than 50,000 participants over the years. The course module/syllabus for the examinations is based on the CBSE/ICSE and the State Boards curriculum.

NTSE (National Talent Search Examination)

The Science Branch, Directorate of Education conducted the National Science Talent Search Examination with the objective to identify brilliant students at a formative age. This examination tests the scholastic and mental aptitude of the students. The students who qualify are awarded merit certificate and scholarship till the post doctoral level.

Yet another miraculous achievement was grabbed by the students of Amity International School, Noida, Class IX in the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE). The achievers, who qualified the examination, are as follows:

The winners had always aimed to clear the examinations from the very beginning, believing the old saying, "there is no substitute for hard work". Their talent was duly recognized by NCERT as each of them received a scholarship of Rs. 500 per month till the completion of their studies.

WRO (World Robotics Olympiad)

The World Robot Olympiad is a global robotics competition for young people. First held in 2004 in Singapore, it now attracts 1000 participants from 32 countries.

The competition consists of two different categories. In the regular category, teams must assemble robots that can solve a specific problem. In the open category, teams must present designs for robots, based on a given theme. The contest is also conducted for three different age groups: elementary, junior and senior.

WRO 2010 was conducted in Philippines. Three students from class XI, Raghav Kochar, Sartak Vaish and Aditya Garg, participated and were declared 4th internationally.

NSTSE - Olympiads by Unified Council

NATIONAL LEVEL SCIENCE TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION (NSTSE) is a scientifically designed skill based assessment test for students of class II to class XII. It is conducted by Unified Council of Hyderabad. NSTSE is a curriculum based examination useful to students who wish to assess their strengths and weaknesses in Maths and Science.

AIS, Noida has been winning the Best Participation Award and the Best Performance Award for the last 3 years. This year also it bagged both these institutional awards. Srijon Mukerjee of class VII was awarded a Net Book Laptop for scoring an All India Rank 3 and Arnav Negi of class III received a cash prize of Rs. 1000 for scoring an All India Rank 4. Our students have consistently been performing well and wining laurels for the school.
