The event hosted by the school was conducted by Mr Adittya Nath Mubayi from Quiz craft a valued name in the world of quizzing. It was divided into three categories – junior, middle and senior and covered multifarious topics like Indian culture, religion, literature, art, mythology and architecture spanning four states of India-Nagaland, Uttarakhand, Chattishgarh and Jharkhand. All branches of Amity participated with vigor and zeal. The rolling trophy was bagged by Amity International School Noida.

Citation Ceremony

The school organized a ‘Shubhasheesh’ ceremony to bid a formal farewell to the students of Class XII, 2015-16. The programme began with a ‘havan’ followed by lamp lighting accompanied by the rendition of the holy shlokas. The school choir regaled the audience with a mellifluous and inspiring song, ‘Jeevan Ki HarChaunautiKoTumheSweekarKarna He’.The highlight of the ceremony was the conferring of citations to the students. Dr. (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Amity Group of Schools and RBEF blessed the students, affirming the fact that the portals of the school would always be open for them as it would remain their first home.

Annual Sports Meet

Chairperson Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan declared the Annual Sports Meet open with the release of the balloons and pigeons amidst a lot of cheer, enthusiasm and sportsman spirit. Joining the same was the Chief Guest for the day Brig. K P Singh Deo, AVSM, Vice President Indian Olympics Association and Special Guest Shri ChetanPratap Singh Chauhan, Former Indian Cricketer and Vice President (DDCA).Students participated in races, displaying their sportsmanship. The highlight of the show was was a spectacular presentation of the first Olympic Games held in Greece.

Winter Carnival

Envisioned and conceptualized by the futuristic philosophy of our dynamic Chairperson Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan this mega event puts to record the fine sync between academics and co-curricular activities that the school curriculum aims to accomplish. It infuses a spirit of camaraderie and commitment in the students. The entire campus reverberated with the euphoria of young and old alike as the stalls ranging from the yummy food to exciting games witnessed a mammoth crowd. The eventful day saw its culmination with the raffle draw which unveiled surprise for many lucky winners.

Scholarship Day

Over 300 students of the school from Class V to VIII and XI were awarded academic scholarships and honour badges at a special function. The occasion was graced by the presence of Ms. Pooja Chauhan,Vice Chairperson,Amity Humanity Foundation and other heads of the Amity institution. Students also presented a cultural program comprising melodious rendition of Raag Yaman and Kathak performance by Monika Shankar

Book Cosmos

Various activities were organized for students from Class Nursery to V as face painting, one minute act, elocution etc. Children came dressed as their favorite story characters from Roald Dahl, Ruskin Bond, Fairy Tales, Folk Tales and Horror Stories.Eminent storytellers and authors like Ms. AnupaLal and Ms. VaijantiSawantTonpe regaled the students with story narration.

Installation Ceremony of The Interact Club

The event began with a lamp lighting ceremony, presided over by esteemed Rotarians, Mr. Bharat Joshi, President of Rotary Club Delhi Midtown, Mr. Rahul Bhargav, whose guidance in setting up the school’s Interact Cub has been invaluable, Mr. Pawandeep Kataria, Ms. Aneesha Dalmia, and Mr. Anshul Chandok. Students of Classes VIII-XI were inducted as members of the interact club. The incoming President, Gursimran Dham, gave an insight into the Interact Club activity planner for the academic year 2015-16.

Children’s Day

The school buzzed with children fluttering like butterflies in the Amity garden as they viewed their teachers preparing for the special assembly. The teachers presented the children with a bouquet of mesmerizing items like skits dances and songs which truly enthralled them.

Workshop on 'World War I' by Sqn. Ldr. Rana T.S. Chhina
It is our Chairperson Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan ma’am’s ongoing mission to keep her Amitians abreast with an understanding of global happenings.
As the world commemorates World War-I in its centenary year, the Amity Educational Resource Centre under the guidance of Resp. Chairperson Ma’am has organized a trip to Institue de Genech, France to attend the World War-I conference. 10 students from all branches of Amity will be attending the conference in November this year and making presentations. To develop an understanding of India’s role in the World War-I, Amity International School, Saket invited Sqn. Ldr. Rana T.S. Chhina, Secretary and Editor of the United Service Institution of India, Centre for Armed Forces Historical Research and Vice President of the Indian Military Historical Society, UK and Mr. Adil Chhina to hold a seminar on 14th August 2015, as part of the Anubhav series to coincide with the ongoing Unmesh celebrations on the occasion of Independence Day.

Encouraging young minds to develop their mathematical and analytical skills beyond the four walls of a classroom, Amity Saket held the Mathamity Presentation on 31st July and 1st August 2015. Maths students formed groups, picked a topic of their choice and researched on it. After thoroughly analyzing the topic, the team members made files, models and PPTs, and gave a presentation of their work.
On 31st July, the teams of classes VIth to XIth were judged by their teachers. The level of work done and the effort put in by the students was indeed commendable. On 1st August, children of class I-V had a project presentation, where parents were invited to see the results of the students’ hard work. The chief guests for this programme were Professor Hukum Singh, Head (retd.), DESM, NCERT and Professor Ram Avtar (retd.) DESM, NCERT. They also praised the zeal and enthusiasm with which all the students had taken part in the programme.

Independence Day Week Celebrations
Amity under the guidance of our beloved chairperson MrsAmita Chauhan Maam has always strived to instill values of patriotism and love for nation in its students. To further the cause Independence week was celebrated from 10th August 2015 to 14th August 2015. We paid homage to countless freedom fighters as we celebrated the 69th Independence Day. Our school carried out a mélange of patriotic activities which created an atmosphere of national pride.

2. Forgotten Heroes of India's Freedom Struggle
Students researched about the lives of legends like Sri Aurobindo, Sardar Patel and GD Birla and made PowerPoint presentations. Through this activity they learnt about their achievements and contributions towards building Nation India. Students were briefed about the legends by the class teachers on 7th August, 2015 and were asked to share their learning with the classmates on 12th August, 2015 (Tuesday).

3. CBSE Expression Series - Online Essay Writing
Students were encouraged to participate in the Online Essay Writing Competition organized by CBSE at . Topic for Class IX was ‘S.R. Ranganathan’ and the word limit was 500 words. Students submitted their entries on 13th and 14th August,2015 between 9:00 am to 5:30pm.

Students of class VIII were asked to prepare a debate on the above topic. Children participated enthusiastically and the best speaker was PranjaliSinghal of Class VIII A.

A collage making was organized as a house competition. Children made beautiful collages on the topic 'Incredible India'.
6. Tricolour quilling objects (peacock,lotus,tiger)
Children made beautiful quills during their various art period through the week.
Nursery Orientation

The orientation programme for the new session of Class Nursery was held in the school auditorium. The event was organised to welcome and familiarise parents with the ethos and methodology of the school. Dr Kanika Khandelwal, head, Department of Psychology, Lady Sri Ram College, graced the occasion and shared her expert advice on “Settling the child when starting school”. She gave tips on how to deal with tantrums, thumb-sucking, behavioral problems, etc. Dr Kanika also stressed on the importance of giving time to a child.
A New Beginning-First Day of Nursery
School marks the beginning of a child’s socialisation process, outside the home. It helps in building a child’s identity. Some of the best and most lasting relationships are formed in school.

Students of Amity, Saket got an opportunity to interact with, Mr Maroof Raza, a prominent and well known face on the Television, who is also an expert in strategic affairs. The lecture highlighted the current global issues. Mr Raza presented a solution to the Kashmir issue and added that if the leaders solve the challenge well, it can be dealt with. The session concluded with a question-answer round where the media personality answered the students’ queries.

The investiture of the junior council was followed by the senior council. The newly appointed council members marched to the beat of the drum and were felicitated with their sashes. The newly appointed head girl, Stuti Sen Gupta, and the head boy, Prashant Revaniti, took an oath to perform their duties with utmost integrity and sincerity. Chief guest Ms Jaya Prada addressed the gathering and congratulated the school for its unique and holistic curriculum. Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools & RBEF expressed her fervent belief in every Amitian and congratulated the newly appointed student council members.

Classes VIII-X students attended a workshop by Mr Aditya Sharma, Editor Reader Digest and Author of book “Champs of Devgarh”. Mr Sharma shared his journey from being a Lawyer to a journalist & writer. He motivated students to follow their dream and pursue their creativity as a profession. He explained the technicalities of writing short stories to big literature. He answered students’ queries. The workshop proved very beneficial for the students and they thanked the school and expressed their gratitude to Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools & RBEF, for the enriching exposure.

AIS Saket forms Amity Film Club
AIS, Saket has constituted a Film Club in the school under the leadership of Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools, Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan. The Film club students attend theoretical and practical film making sessions at Amity School of Communication, Amity University, Noida where they were taught various aspects of film making - use of a video camera, types of camera angles, variety of shots, sound and video editing by renowned faculty members.
