MUN

An academic simulation of the United Nations, Model United Nations (MUN) introduced by Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson Amity Group of Schools under the aegis of Amity Education Resource Centre (AERC) aims to enhances the oratory and debating skills of the students besides training them in detailed research to help them stay abreast with international affairs. Through debates and deliberations, students learn the finer aspects of international diplomacy, thus making them better equipped to deal with real world situations.

AIMUN

Amity International Model United Nations

Amity International Model United Nations (AIMUN) introduced in the year 2010 is the largest international MUN hosted in India. It is held every year at Amity University Uttar Pradesh in the month of November.

AIMUN 2016

Over 40 students from the school took part in this conference held from November 17-19, 2016 that was attended by over 500 delegates from across the world. School alumnus Vansh Saluja, Rohan Singh, Ritwik Sharma and Siddharth Kapoor chaired different committees. Prithvi Raj Khanna & Taranjit held the position of Vice Chairs. Ria Chopra, Himangi and Devyani Goel held USG positions. The school represented United Sates of America and Egypt. The school won Best Delegation awards,) two Best delegates, two High Commendations and one Special Mention.

 
 

AIMUN 2015

Over 40 students from the school took part in this conference held from November 19-21, 2015 to that was attended by over 450 delegates from across the world. Siddharth Kapoor was elected as the Sec General. The school represented Russian Federation. The school won Best Delegation award.

International MUN

ZAMUN

Abhay Lal and Shrey Sharma of the school students took part in ZAMUN held in Slovakia held on February 2014 The school won 2 Best Delegates

UNA USA MUN

Over 28 students participated in the UNA USA MUN New York for three consecutive years from 2010 -12 and won several awards. The school bagged 4 Best Delegates award and 14 High Commendations. Kriti Mishra and Agrata Gupta of the school bagged Best Delegate award in 2010.
Samarth Singhal, Akshat Boobna, Sukriti Singhal, Vivasvaan Srivastava, Sawan Chawla, Nikita Ahuja, Ishita Mishra, Puneeta Ahuja and Arjun Hans received High Commendation in 2010. Arjun Tyagi and Sarthak Sahrma received High Commendation for two consecutive years in 2011 and 2012.

Students participated in MUNOG, Stuttgart Germany in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2014. Rajat Rai Handa and Smariddhi Vij won Best Delegate award in 2009 and 2011 respectively.

Intra MUN

Amity Model United Nations

AMUN was introduced in the school in 2007 by Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools and RBEF to nurture the young ones as global citizens equipped with diplomatic skills to build a peaceful world.

2016-17

The tenth edition of AMUN was held on August 19-20, 2016. Over 250 students took part in four committees namely Security Council, GA, EU and Nuclear Supplier Group. The agendas varied from nuclear issues to the refugee crisis in Europe. Security Council discussed issues related to terrorism and rise of ISIS in the Middle East. Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson Amity Group of Schools & RBEF was felicitated by the school with a special memento for providing students a platform like MUN that has groomed students for over 10 years. The conference concluded with Chairperson giving away the awards.

Junior Amity Model United Nations

An initiative undertaken by Dr. (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools and RBEF, Junior AMUN was introduced in the year 2012 to groom the junior school students from Class V to VII to become future global citizens of the country.

Delegates of JAMUN 2015
 

The fourth edition of JAMUN was organized on October 16-17, 2015. The event saw 400 children simulate committees as UNFCCC, WHO, All India Political Parties Meet and the UN High Commission for Refugees. The best delegates of each committee were awarded in the closing ceremony.
