Break Out 2016-17

The school’s annual Western Music Competition saw 17 schools participate in various categories. A number of trophies were given to winners of the prestigious competition. In Duet category, the first and second position was bagged by AIS Mayur Vihar and AIS Pushp Vihar respectively, whereas in band category, the second position was secured by AIS Pushp Vihar. The trophies for Best Guitarist and Best Bassists were bagged by AIS Mayur Vihar.

Indian Music

  • Students of Nursery, KG, Class I learn nursery rhymes, action songs and theme based songs
  • Students of Classes Nursery to X learn patriotic songs, folk songs, bhajans and festival songs
  • Option for learning percussion instruments like tabla, ghatam, naal, nagada etc
  • Orchestra room gives students option for learning instruments like harmonium, xylophone, hawaiin guitar, sitar, violin, keyboard, nakkara, congo, bongo etc.

Western Music

  • Special Western Music room where children learn English songs like hymns, christmas carols, New year songs and songs for school occasions
  • Regular band practice
  • Option to learn lead guitar, bass guitar, rhythm guitar, drums, piano and keyboard
  • 'Breakout'- an annual western interschool competition, is organised every year to encourage talent in the field

Dance

  • A separate spacious dance room
  • Folk dances, theme based dances, dance for various school occasions taught
  • Annual presentation by SPIC MACAY where noted Indian classical instrumentalists, dancers & vocalists perform
