Placement activities at AITT is managed by the Placement Cell .The Placement Cell provides overall supervision and assistance for summer internship as well as for final placement of the students.
Our students are not only exposed to the various dimensions of managing the tours and travel business, but are also taught to be independent for assessments. To meet the increasing demands of fast emerging business scenarios, AITT puts best of its effort to enhance skills and honing the abilities of the students to the desirable level. Personality Development Programme and seminars are regularly conducted for the students to prepare them for the placement process.
A range of well- known travel Companies from all over India visit AITT each year to recruit students for summer internship and final placements. The placement cell continuously maintains a constructive relationship with the potential employers and encourages them to interact with students at a regular interval for a better understanding between the employers and the students. The average salary of our students ranges from 1.5-3.0 lakhs per annum as per the recruitments of 2009-2010.

Tourism and Travel industry today is a huge growth sector valued at more than Rs. 23 million crores, contributing 6.9% to the GDP receiving 5 million foreign tourists arrivals to our country. The Indian outbound tourist traffic has also been growing at an annual growth rate of around 25% because of the economic boom in India. World Travel and Tourism Council estimates that the present number of 8 million outbound tourists will reach 50 million mark by 2020. To handle such a large number of tourist movements both to and from India the Tourism and Travel Industry will be in need of a large number of trained professionals.
The investment of every 1 million rupees has the potential to generate 73 jobs in Tourism. In the 11th five year plan (2007-2012) provision of more than Rs.15, 000 crores has been provided for Tourism infrastructure and additional provision of Rs. 13,000 crores has been provided for super structural development for Tourism sector.
