What is Amitasha?
Amitasha is a source of interminable hope for underprivileged girl
child. It is an independent Non Governmental
Organization that runs an afternoon school, where girl
children from noble families are taught, loved and
cared.
Who are the people behind Amitasha?
Amitasha is a project undertaken by Amity Humanity Foundation. The
foundation is a wing of Ritanand Balved Education
Foundation* that imparts education to more than twenty
thousand students across its eleven campuses,offering
sixty undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
How was Amitasha born and why?
Amitasha is a dream of The Honorable Chairperson of Amity
International Schools, Dr. Amita Chauhan who had a
penchant for educating the illiterates and especially
girl children belonging to weaker sections of the
society. It is her belief that educating a girl child
means to educate an entire family. Thus Amitasha was
born in April 2002.
Where is Amitasha Today?
Amitasha – the afternoon school is being run successfully at Noida,
UP where hundred girl children between the age of 3 to
10 are beginning to hope and strive for a better future.
They are taken care by professionally qualified teachers
who not only teach them but also instill in them a
confidence of being at par with the rest and most
importantly nurture them with love.
Who provides funds for Amitasha?
People who care, who are responsible provide funds to Amitasha. The
task of generating funds is taken care by Amity Humanity
Foundation that organizes various events, sells Greeting
Cards and raises Corporate Sponsorship for Amitasha.
Responsible Corporate such as HCL, Citibank, Star News
Channel, India Today Group have been supporting Amity
Humanity Foundation to further this cause. For greater
