The course has been designed for the new generation of filmmakers, screenwriters, editors, actors, producers and cinematographers who share a passion for motion pictures and want to learn by making their own projects in a hands-on, intensive program.
Traditional film schools often delay the moment when students get their hands-on the cameras and actually make movies. At ASCO, you will be trained to write, shoot, direct, and edit your own short films and documentaries.
It is for this purpose that ASCO has a fully-equipped sound proof studio with digital cameras, lights, editing facilities to facilitate production of television news, documentaries and other program by the students.
At ASCO, trainees are given intensive training in editorial and production skills, including video workshops, group exercises, and role-play to get the students used to working in a newsroom environment. There will be sessions on camera work, video tape editing, and studio direction. In addition, students will learn how to serve the audience, assess audience preferences and how to present news.
