The strength and stability of a nation is determined by the manner in which it is governed. With over thirty years of my experience in Germany, I have closely witnessed, the well-structured governance policies in the developed countries. In the Indian Context, the rich cultural background cooupled with the human resources, if managed properly, would serve as a benchmark in the various aspects of governance.
The Amity Universe of Education has always been alive to the academic needs of the country and has provided a visionary diversification in innovative education with global paradigms. At Amity, the guiding vision and mission is to pursue excellence constantly in all its endeavours and enter new areas of education, which may have remained dormant hitherto.
It has thus been my dream to venture into the area of education in the field of Governance. The establishment of the Amity School of Governance reflects a positive stride in this direction aimed at producing quality professionals capable of strengthening and broadening the base of Governance in the country.
It is with this objective in mind that the Amity School of Governance (ASGO) has taken the initiative to design and offer specialised programmes in the emerging fields. I am glad that the inaugural programmes focus on two vital areas, viz., "Social and Political Leadership" and "Disaster Management".
I welcome you to this unique experience of learning by sharing the myriad points of view. At ASGO, the pedagogy shall be immensely interactive with the emphasis on panel discussions, seminars and hands-on learning methodology.
