“Amity School of Insurance and Actuarial Science” imparts quality education in the subjects of Insurance & Actuarial Science. The institution commenced operations in the year 2000 with the introduction of Full-time & Part –time courses leading to one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Insurance Management. To cater to the industry needs, a full –time program of MBA (Insurance) was launched under the aegis of Amity University from the year 2003.
A Semester –based part-time actuarial program preparatory to the examinations of Actuarial Society of India (ASI) Institute of Actuaries, U.K. (IOA) was commenced in the year 2001 which has since been running successfully. However, keeping in view the emerging demand of actuarially skilled/ qualified persons owing to the impending take off of the Pension and Health Sectors and de- tarriffication of General insurance business, a 2 year program leading to a degree of M.Sc. in Actuarial Science was launched under AMITY UNIVERSITY in the year 2005..
