About the course
With the opening up of the insurance sector and the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority provision for an Appointed Actuary in every life insurance company, the demand for actuaries has substantially increased, although the supply line has almost been dry. This provision of an Appointed Actuary is likely to be extended to all non-life insurance companies also. To meet this demand, the institute offers a part-time semester based course in Actuarial Science aimed at preparing the students for the examinations of Actuarial Society of India / Institute of Actuaries, UK.
