  • Presentation of “Country report on forest statistics," prepared for International Timber Trade Organization, Japan - Paper presented at International workshop on Tropical Forestry and timber trade statistics, 18th Oct-5th Nov., 1993 held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The report gives the status and methods of collection of forest statistics in the country and analytically presents what is not being captured at present and what needs to be done to make it more meaningful & relevant.
  • A Project on “Industrial Forests Plantations and Wasteland Development in Uttar Pradesh ", 1995-96 for NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development).
  • "Experience of Agro- forestry in India with Particular Reference to Uttar Pradesh" for Environment Management Seminar for South Asia held at Bentota, Sri Lanka (16th-27th Sep. 1996). On the basis of my performance in the seminar and on strength of my aforesaid paper, I was asked to chair the working group for drafting the final recommendations for SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) Secretariats.
  • State Forestry Action Program for UP, 1995. This plan outlines the future course of strategy & action program for coming 20 years for undivided State of U.P. The first slice of this report is being implemented in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal as World Bank Forestry Project. The report received acclaim both at national and international level. It became the main document for Government of India to prepare National Forestry Action Program 1998. Was awarded a Certificate of Excellence from Governor of U.P. The SFAP (for 20 years) has been acclaimed not only by the State Government but also by the Government of India and by the World Bank. The document was also considered for 'India Gandhi Vriksha Mitra Award' 1997, a prestigious national level award in forestry.
  • Some important policy and implementation issues with reference to Land Degradation in Uttar Pradesh - Paper read as key note address in workshop organised by Regional Centre, National Afforestation & Eco Development Board, Jhansi, Jan. 1997.
  • As a member of National Commission for Integrated Water Resource Development Plan commissioned by Ministry of Water Resources. Government of India, 1998 I contributed a number of chapters to this report.
  • Chairman & Task Manager for preparation of World Bank aided Integrated Forestry Project for UP, INDIA. Under chairmanship of the undersigned international forestry consultant M/s JAAKKO POYRY of FINLAND prepared the Forestry Project, which was finally financed by World Bank in 1998-99.
  • Member & Task Force on Forest Protection, "Forest Consolidation, Rate of Deforestation, Forest Research & Survey" for Ninth Five Year Plan of INDIA.
  • Current status of Monitoring in U.P. & future perspectives; key note address delivered and also acted as resource person for workshop on indicators for monitoring and evaluation, Regional Centre, National Afforestation & Eco Development Board, Chandigarh, Jan. 1998.
  • Study report on forest tree improvement in Uttar Pradesh, March 2002.
  • An important policy implication for farm forestry in India with special Reference to Uttar Pradesh& Uttranchal August 2003 paper presented at Conference 23on Madhya Pradesh: economic challenges organised by OBSERVER RESEARCH FOUNDATION, NEW DELHI.
