OVERVIEW

The world believes that the holistic development of an individual includes Physical Education and Sports. Exposure to Physical Education, Sports and Self Defense Programmes not only empowers people but also prepares them for Life.

Public and private sector organizations, Government agencies, Physical Education Professionals and Sports Administrators, have realized the true potential of Physical Education and Sports. There are several networking platforms and forums to discuss and deliberate the challenges of this field and build future road maps for the development of society.

Along with the Socio-Economic, Political and Demographic changes in the world, Physical Education and Sports have also undergone a sea change in the 21st century. We are witnessing a significant spurt in encouragement and support to disabled and under- privileged members of society, to participate in sports. Women Empowerment, Gender sensitization and Gender equality, have become the underlined areas where Physical Education and Sports have the potential to make a world of difference.

It is in this context, Amity School of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (ASPESS) is organizing a National Conference on “Sports and Physical Education: A medium for skill development and Women Empowerment”. This conference intends to bring all the key stakeholders -Academicians, Industry, and Sports professionals to share their valuable insights and experiences to promote skill development and women empowerment in sports.

CALL FOR PAPERS

Authors/Scholars interested in presenting research papers of theoretical /applied nature or case studies are invited to submit an abstract of 250 words approx. The paper should include keywords, full address and email id of corresponding author and should be sent to peamity@amity.edu

MANUSCRIPT GUIDELINES

PEER REVIEW POLICY

All papers submitted to the conference are subject to critical review. Authors will be notified by email of acceptance, revision or rejection of papers. Manuscripts needing substantial revision will be returned to authors via email and must be revised and returned by a stipulated date. Corrected manuscripts may be retuned via email.

MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION

A digital copy of the manuscript (Microsoft word) should be emailed to the organizing secretary at the e-mail id mentioned below. Include a cover letter from the main corresponding author with mailing address, email address, telephone, and fax numbers. As a style reference, authors may use any referencing styles as desired by them.

FORMAT

Manuscript must be typed and double-spaced in Microsoft word (.doc or .docx) using Times New Roman font, we do not accept PDF. Submission of excessive tabular data is discouraged: tables should be limited to data that supports and is essential to clarifying research findings. Total paper should be between 2000-4000 words. The following format should be used when submitting research manuscripts:

    • Abstract (250 or less word)
    • Key Words (up to six)
    • Introduction
    • Methodology
    • Results and Discussion
    • Conclusion
    • References

POSTER PRESENTATION

Authors have the opportunity to display or exhibit their work and engage in informal discussion about their work with other delegates throughout the session. Displays may be posters (maximum 3x4 feet) on flex or similar materials. Each display should include a brief abstract of the purpose and procedures of the work; handouts or copies of written material may also be available. Space for the poster or exhibit will be provided by the Conference, however all materials must be organized by the presenter, including posters, displays, handouts or other appropriate materials.. Authors may submit a formal paper describing their work
