Amity’s New Endeavor in Nation Building – Amity Indian Military College and Amity Cadet Corps

Education is a field where dedication and determination is required along with intelligence, honesty, truthfulness and strong moral strength to excel. Apart from giving theoretical knowledge, which is adjudged by examination, education also requires physical knowledge, which is acquired through rigorous training. To promote these ideas and inculcate a sense of discipline, Amity Cadet Corps and Amity Indian Military College was launched last year which adopts a holistic approach, providing an overall development of the Cadets. The main aim of establishing Amity Cadet Corps is to make young cadets perfect human beings in terms of character and assisting them to carve up their niche in society. The cadets imbibe a spirit of adventure and the ideals of selfless service. They indulge in various community development programmes cum social service activities.

Amity Indian Military College was established under Amity Indian Education Society in Amity Campus Manesar, Gurgoan. Every year four camps are organized in Amity Indian Military College. On the last day of the camp, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation took the ceremonial salute of the cadet parade comprising of students from – Amity Indian Military College and Amity Cadet Corps

On this occasion Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation applauding the efforts of ACC and AMC said, “There is an urgent need to motivate students to participate in such training programmes as they are the future torchbearers of the country. With macabre forms of terrorism sprawling up, it has become necessary that our youth should be well equipped to serve the country at the time of need. In Amity Cadet Corps, certain core values like loyalty and love for the country are deeply ingrained in the cadets. Every cadet is groomed to display exemplary conduct together with a strong mortal strength to differentiate right from wrong. Such performances influence fellow cadets and inspire them to work as a team to achieve the highest standards both academically and in cadet activities.”

After the parade Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan and Dr. Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity International Schools presented ranks and badges to the selected officers of Amity Cadet Corps and Amity Indian Military College.

Lt. General Bopanna, P.V.S.M, A.V.S.M, V.S.M (Retd), Director General, Amity Indian Military College remarked, “In today’s scenario when there is no place for a mediocre student and only an excelsior rules the roost, Amity Cadet Corps provides a student with all the essential attributes of success like dedication, determination, courage, patience, and perseverance. The cadets are groomed to become effective leaders in all important walks of life. In ACC mental and physical growth of the cadets is emphasized.”

The occasion was graced by the serving and the retired officers of Defense Forces and senior officials of Amity group along with the parents of the cadets.
