AMITY EXTENDS COMPUTER APPLICATION TRAINING FOR CISF WARDS.

Amity Institute of Vocational and Industrial Training (AIVIT) is known for its mammoth efforts to chisel the youth of the country, enabling them to meet the contemporary requirements of the industry. Amity has been offering many short term customized training and development programmes which have been designed to ensure that the students get a right blend of theoretical and practical training and become professionals for the industry. In this endeavor, AIVIT started its first 9 month Diploma Course in Computer Application on 23rd August, 05 designed exclusively for the wards of CISF.

This innovative joint venture of CISF and Amity was conceived by Mr. S.I.S Ahmed, DG- CISF. The classes were conducted at the state-of-the-art Technology Centre at 5th Reserve Battalion, Ghaziabad. CISF also provided hostel, mess, library, recreation facilities to the children of CISF personnel, who came from all corners of the country. Several modules were taught on computer education and application such as MS Office, Excel, Power Point, Corel Draw, Page- maker, Internet etc including language skill and personality development. Students were then placed with companies like HCL, Sigma Ltd., Zee T.V and other reputed companies with the help of the placement cell of the AIVIT drawing a salary package between Rs.8,000 – Rs.12,000 per month.

Delivering the valedictory address and letters of appointment, Shri S I S Ahmed- Director General, CISF said “The contribution of AIVIT towards the success of this course has been praiseworthy .This job oriented course has instilled a thorough know- how of the computers in the students, as a result, they are all set to make a mark in the Corporate world.” He also assured that this synergy between the two organizations will continue in future and will have many more of such courses.

Dr. Ashok Chauhan, Founder President- RBEF awarded the certificates to the participants and appreciated the diligence and commitment of CISF personnel. He added, “CISF undergoes tremendous hardships to ensure the security of the country so in turn the welfare of their families and wards becomes the responsibility of the Nation. Amity, in fulfilling this social responsibility, has organized this educational assistance for the wards of CISF to enhance their personnel skills so that they become contributory citizens of our country.” He further announced the commencement of another batch of Computer Application Course from August 01, 2006.

Other eminent dignitaries present during the occasion were Mr. Randeep Singh, MD, Info Solutions; Mr. Anil Mittal, MD, GOIP Solutions and Mr. Nayar, Senior General Manager, TCS.
