Amity International School Vasundhara celebrates Founder's Day

Amity Vasundhara celebrated Founder’s Day on Saturday, 11th November, 2006 with a repertoire of talent and creativity at its best. The event began with lighting of the sacred lamp by our most revered Founder President, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity International Schools, amidst the echoes of shlokas. The chief guest of the function was Mr. M.K.S. Sundaram. The Head of School, Mrs. Shashi Ranjan welcomed the august guests and presented the school report of year 2005-06.

The programme began with `Tridhara’ a prayer presented by choir group and a large number of children accompanied on various musical instruments resulting in a euphonious presentation. It was followed by a felicitation of the chief guest. An integral part of the programme was felicitating annual prize winners of the year 2005-06.

The magnificent evening witnessed beautiful dances based on the theme `Amritvahini – the Ganges’, depicting its course from Himalayas to Uttaranchal and to Varanasi. It was a real tribute to our sacred rivers, which are revered and worshipped from ancient times.

Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity International Schools presented vote of thanks and applauded the individual endeavour of each member of Amity family.
