3 Days Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp

Amity School of Engineering and Technology, organized 3 Days- “Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp”  from 25th Oct 2017 - 27th Oct 2017 for the intellectual benefit and growth of students of selected 85 students of ASET/ AIIT and ASAS, AUH under the requirements for the DST – NIMAT Project

Amity University Gurgaon in association with Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Gandhinagar, Gujrat under Department of Science and Technology, Govt of India - NIMAT Project 2017-18. 

The objective of this program was to giving entrepreneurial skills to engineering/ technical students for better innovation.

With an aim to go beyond academics, such workshops provide the student a practical perspective and opportunity to learn through interaction, working methods, and employment practices.

The EAC inaugural session was addressed by Maj Gen VK Narang (Retd), Director ASET, AUH into which he guided the student about the importance of opting Entrepreneurship as a career. He explained the importance of the entrepreneurship, attributes, and characteristics of the entrepreneur, journey of this domain.

The trainer Mr. Vivek Birla, made his orientation in explaining the various topics for the workshop such that all students of various domains were covered. Participants played various Role Plays, Case Studies, Situational Analysis, Assignments to take the practical output through this entrepreneurial drive.

To provide an insight on how companies work the students were also taken for the visit to the two companies: ACME locks limited, Bawal and Motherson Moulds and Die Castings, Gurgaon.

 

It was an extremely informative camp which aided the students in enhancing their knowledge about the entrepreneurial domain. They were guided in practical by the team in this area using industry visit to manufacturing domain. The visit allowed students to correlate and bridged the gap between their theoretical knowledge and practical exposure. The visit was both informative as well as an enjoyable experience.
