Amity School of Engineering and Technology, AUH, organized an Industrial visit Calsonic Kansei Motherson Auto Products Private Limited, Sector4, IMT Manesar, Haryana on 27th Oct 2017 for the intellectual benefit and growth of students of Selected 40 students of ASET/ AIIT and ASAS, AUH under the requirements for the DST – NIMAT Project
Calsonic Kansei Motherson Auto Products Private Limited (CKM) is a joint venture between Samvardhana Motherson Group (SMG) and Calsonic Kansei Corp. Japan for manufacturing car HVAC system and a varied product range.
This industrial visit conducted as a part of three-day "Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp" for selected students of Amity Gurgaon campus, as per the curriculum and as part of an academia-industry interface. The students were taken for a visit to the company under the supervision of Ms. Kavita (HR - Head) and Mr. V.Mohan Raghavan (Supervisor and Training Head). The students came across various process, models, devices, and instruments used for dyes, casting Moulding.
Mr. Raghavan had explained the detailed manufacturing process, how the industry is run and what is the approach of this domain into making the business. They explained in detail various systems and also how things are made.
Lastly on the entrepreneurial domain, they guide the student how the productions units in the area of manufacturing are started. How the various schemes of the Govt can help them. Sources of finance, competitor analysis, customer and target survey, market research process, risk analysis and lastly how to minimize the risk.
During the visit, Students were exposed to the production-related company and their manufacturing process. They also observed and gained knowledge about various processes, equipment, and procedures utilized at different domains
Lastly, on the entrepreneurial domain, students were guided that how the productions units in the area of manufacturing are started. How the various schemes of the Govt can help them. Sources of finance, competitor analysis, customer and target survey, market research process, risk analysis and lastly how to minimize the risk.
It was an extremely informative tour which aided the students in enhancing their knowledge about Locks manufacturing unit.
