3rd Blood Donation Camp in association with Red Cross Blood Bank ,Raipur

For the sake of humanity and social responsibility, a Blood Donation Camp was organized at Amity University Chhattisgarh, Raipur Campus on 06th Feb 2018 in association with Red Cross Blood Bank, Raipur. The management, faculties, staffs and students are honoured and feel privileged to make Blood Donation an integral part of Sparsh, the Social Cause. It began at around 10.00 a.m. and continued up to 5 pm, with a steady stream of donors throughout. The devout occasion was organized under the affectionate care and vigilant supervision by Doctors representing Red Cross, Raipur. The potential donors had gone through a thorough medical check-up first and then were allowed to donate blood and there was facility to lie down and recuperate for a while before they leave venue. The donors were facilitated with snacks and juice and received certificate of recognition. 187 donors including students, faculty and staff members participated voluntarily in the camp.
According to the information presented on the occasion, only 50 percent of the country’s blood requirement is fulfilled through such blood donation camps. Hence, it is a prime provison to broaden awareness amongst the youth for active participation in such a gracious cause. All were glad to be able to play their parts in lending a helping hand to people in the region.
