Amity School of Architecture and Planning organizes a National Seminar on “Emerging Trends on Architech Development in India” on 28th March 2018

Amity School of Architecture & Planning conducted a National Seminar on 'Emerging Trends on ArchiTech Development in India ' on 28th of March, 2018 to create a forum for discourse over this contemporary topic. Distinguished speakers from various academic and corporate  backgrounds made their presence felt and participated in the seminar to share their ideas and views on various aspects of  Architecture and Technology  involved in our society, how indispensable it has become, and what are the various roles, issues and challenges that are involved.

The National Seminar was organized with following objectives : to create awareness amongst students and faculties about practicing Technology in Architecture, to explore new areas of research in this field, to provide a networking opportunity to scholars & researchers, to foster discussion on the challenges & concerns of Architecture Development in India with respect to Technology for upgraded and Sustainable living, to provide a platform to scholars & researchers to showcase their research, to foster brand building of ASAP and AUMP as a premiere educational institution and add to the corpus of literature on the subject through the publication of a book of research papers.

The objectives were  well met by invited talks given by the stalwarts of both academia and industry. The Guest of Honor Ar. Ravindra Punde, Principal Architect of Design Cell, New Delhi talked in detail on technology in architecture and how it contributes to the modern generation. He also showed his interest in upcoming research collaborations with AUMP.

The keynote speaker Dr. Sandeep Sankat (Associate Professor, School of Planning & Architecture, Bhopal), during his talk showed some videos and shared his views on roles and responsibilities of an architect and his commitment towards the universal design in the profession, to make the infrastructure accessible to all. Dr. Ajay Vinodia (Assistant Professor, School of Planning & Architecture, Bhopal). A spoke on "How much ARCHI & how much TECH Scenario of Architectural education and Practices in India" Knowledge sharing was done by Researchers, faculty and students of ASAP, as a result of high quality presentations were delivered by the researcher participants and delegates.

The valedictory session of the national seminar was preceded by distribution of certificates to the participants by Honorable VC, AUMP. The feedback taken from all the participants was very encouraging. All the participants attended the program very actively and took interest in all the sessions. They found all the sessions very useful and were very excited and enthusiastic during the entire program.
