Devrishi Narad Muni Jayanti Celebration
Devrishi Narad Muni Jayanti was celebrated by Amity School of Communication on 12th July 2018 at Amity University Raipur. Mr. Atul Tiwari(Registrar, Kushabhau Thakre University), Shri Surendra Ji, Ms. Priyanka Kaushal(Editor Glibs.com) and Shri Mayank Chaturvedi (Senior News Editor, Naidunia) graced the aforesaid event with their presence.
The event started with lighting of the lamp by the guests. Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh Dahima, Head of Campus welcomed all the guests and dignitaries. In his welcome speech, Dr. Dahima focused on the unique value and culture oriented pedagogy of Amity University.
Dr. Atul Tiwari introduced the character of Narad Muni and his contribution in Journalism. He focused on the various characteristics of a Journalist. While explaining today's media and news system, he said that criticism is essential and that in fact it shouldn't be treated as a barrier, but a guide to right direction.
Ms. Priyanka Kaushal advised all students to follow the journalistic characteristics of Narad Muni. In recent media industry, table drafting is in trend which is harmful for the people as well as for the reporters. Reporters should go to the ground, investigate about the story and only publish it after enough research.
Shri Mayank Chaturvedi marked the importance of truth in daily life. He advised students to work on factual data, truthfulness and to gain knowledge. Without these, any news is worthless, he said. Shri Narendra ji introduced Narad Muni as a real journalist who worked and served selflessly without any fear, anger, hatred and illusion.
The Vote of thanks was given by Mr. B. P. Patnaik, Dy. Registrar, Amity University, Raipur. The program was a great success with the involvement of all students, faculty members and the staff of Amity University Raipur.
