Enrichment Lecture on “Television Journalism: Avenues and Challenges”
Amity School of Communication, hosted an enriching interaction with Mr. Ravi Kant Mittal, Editor-in-Chief IBC 24 News Channel, for its students. Mr. Mittal conducted a session on “Television Journalism: Avenues and Challenges” and discussed a motley of topics pertaining to the Media industry.
He shared his rich experience over the years, with students of mass communication and shared his learnings of the broadcast media industry with them. Emphasizing innovation and sharing ongoing developments in the field of Journalism, he encouraged the future communications professionals to give wings to their creativity and think out-of-the-box.
He added that the Media professionals should intelligently differentiate between news and views. Further, by giving real life experiences while conducting the session, Mr. Mittal ensured the students better understood the concepts and assimilated the learning." A Journalist has a great responsibility to serve the society with complete righteousness and never compromise his ethics and credibility, advised Mr. Mittal who has been in this industry for almost 2 decades and is reckoned for his work.
Mr. Mittal drove the session by discussing various challenges one faces in the industry and his experience of handling them successfully. With students asking a number of questions to him to make best of his presence at the campus, the entire session was very interactive. The 2-hour lecture proved to be a great learning experience for the bright minds aspiring to carve out a niche for themselves in the Media and Communications industry.
