Educational Tour “Window to Russia”
Amity School of Languages organized an educational tour of Russian Language students to the Russian Centre of Science & Culture, Firozshah Road, New Delhi on 30th August 2018. The aim of this education tour was to introduce Russian Language, Literature & Culture to the students and showcase Russian art & craft by Russian Natives.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Ms Tatyana Perova, Director, and Ms Lyudmila Filipova, Assistant Director, Institute of Russian Language, RCSC, New Delhi. A brief introduction to the Russian Centre of Science & Culture was given by the respective authorities, followed by a guided tour of the Cultural Centre.
The tour began with the photo-exhibition on Russian Civilization Roerich museum and artwork of the famous Russian painter Mr Nichlas Roerich, who spent almost half of his life in India and his family chose India as their motherland.
Students also got an opportunity to look at the Russian art and craft. Besides, various videos were shown to them about Russia, Russian History, Geography and Culture. After the educational tour students gave presentations of their learning and experience in five different groups, and the first three teams were awarded prizes.
The experience concluded with a small treat of Russian food at Russian Cafeteria “Druzhba”.
