Workshop on Meditation by Daaji, renowned spiritual and meditation guru

Amity University Chhattisgarh (AUC),  recenty conducted a workshop on 'Heartfulness Meditation' for faculty and students. Renowned spiritual guru, Shri Kamlesh Patel, explained students about the importance of peace of mind for personal, mental and emotional well being. He reiterated that consistent practice of meditation leads to a calm state of mind - a vital element to live a quality life. 

The event started with lamp lighting and Sarasvati Vandana. Fondly called Daaji by his disciples, the modern day spiritual guru explained how people nourish their physical body with food, mental body with education and knowledge, while leaving the very soul unfed. Highlighting the immense possibilities in nurturing the soul, he said there is a limitation to physical growth, but no such limitation exists for the growth of soul and its training for our own benefits. 
 
"We should embrace our spiritual body where there are infinite possibilities of growth," said Daaji, who is the spiritual guide in the Sahaj Marg system and the President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission.
 
On the occasion, Dr. Pankaj Gupta, President IIHMR University, Jaipur, addressed the students and faculty. He shared engaging thoughts on the importance of Meditation, its impending need in today’s times, and immense benefits one derives by practising it regularly. He emphasized that one should self introspect, focus on things that matter, and not compare oneself with others. All this can be effectively achieved by practising meditation on regular basis, he assured. Making a strong appeal to everyone on practising meditation, he cited his own transformation gained through practising meditation.
 
In the concluding session, Prof. (Dr.) R.K. Pandey, Vice Chancellor, AUC, felicitated Daaji with a shawl and a memento. AUC officials, including Prof. (Dr.) VS Dahima, Dy. Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Sumita Dave, Dean Academics, Prof. (Dr.) SC Nayak, Head, Amity School of Communication (which was the coordinating school for the event) and several faculty members and students attended the workshop. Dignitaries from across India and abroad, and disciples of Daaji also attended the workshop.
