Amity University Madhya Pradesh and the Institution of Engineers (India) jointly celebrated International Women’s Day on 8th March at 4-30 PM in the Seminar Hall, Block-A, ASET. The theme of the event was “Time is Now: Rural and Urban Activists Transforming Women’s Lives”.
Eminent speakers, Mr. P.P. Agarwal, IAS (Retd.) & FIE Council member, Er. R. K. Khetan, Past Secretary & Er. Vinay Shukla, Honorary Secretary as speaker and other delegates from the Institution of Engineers (I), Gwalior Local Centre, Gwalior, (M.P.) participated in the event.

The programme started at 4.30 pm with welcome of the guests.

The guests showed their respect, appreciation and love towards women for their economic, political and social achievements. They called these powerful women as diamonds of the society.
The purpose of the event was to bring about an awareness of the women’s rights, empowerment and their upliftment. The program ended at 5.15 pm.
