Amity University Madhya Pradesh witnessed the inauguration of Inter-Amity Annual Sports Meet-SANGATHAN 2018 on Aug 31st , 2018. The event was graced by the presence of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Lt General V. K. Sharma, AVSM (Retd), Prof.(Dr) M.P Kaushik, Pro Vice Chancellor, Dean Academics, Registrar, Director Administration, Dean and Deputy Dean Student Welfare, all the HODs, HOIs, faculty members, staff and students of Amity University Madhya Pradesh.
The ceremony began with the ceremonial lighting of the Mashal by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor amidst loud applause. The Mashal was then handed over to the sports captain of AUMP. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor then declared the SANGATHAN 2018 open. This was accompanied by release of balloons in Amity colours , which made the whole atmosphere festive and joyful. In his address the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor said that sports have always are an integral part of the holistic development and it promotes the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among students.
In the month long SANGATHAN 2018, students would be able to compete in different sports and games including badminton, basketball, volleyball, cricket, chess, tug -of-war etc to clinch the much coveted trophies. He further motivated the students to live up to the expectations of their faculty and friends perform well in the final matches at Noida.
