Amity University Madhya Pradesh organized Amity Youth Fest AMICROMA 2K19.Amity Youth Fest is an annual gathering of students from AUMP, other Universities, colleges and schools of India. From professional shows to amateur bands, from classical dance to choreography, from competitive events to informal events, the festival has it all. This year 3100 students participated in this event. Events such as Parliamentary Debate, Fashion Show, Snooker, Motorbike stunt show by TVS and EDM Night performance by George Leonand his team were the centre of attraction of AMICHROMA this year.
The programme started with the registration of participants. The inaugural session started with the reception of Chief Guest Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd.) and Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) M. P. Kaushik.Thereafter, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor AUMP, Lt Gen VK Sharma, AVSM (Retd.), delivered the opening remarks and enlightened the participants with the significance of youth fest and co-curricular activities.He further highlighted that this is to provide a platform for the students to showcase their talent in different streams. He also pointed to the objective of the Youth Fest which is to bring together the students from diverse fields, to promote innovative ideas and to facilitate inter-disciplinary exchange of ideas and information by encouraging team work team spirit within the students. During the inaugural event,Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) M. P. Kaushik, Director ASET Maj Gen (Dr) SC Jain, VSM** (Retd.), Deans, all HoI’s, HoDs and staff members of all the different schools and departments within the AUMP were present. Some of these events were conducted over the period of two days, whereas some of them finished on the same day. The student participants of AUMP and from different other institutes actively participated in the brain-storming and cultural activities. The zeal and enthusiasm continued on second day also. Some of the events that made the Amity Campus come alive with fun were Snooker, fire less cooking, street play (nukkad natak), dancing and the most expected TVS stunt show& EDM Night.
The two day event AMICHROMA ended with the Valedictory Ceremony which began with the welcome of Chief Guest Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd.). In his concluding remarks, he cited the support and valuable work done by the entire team of AMICHROMA. Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) M. P. Kaushik cheered the students by saying Kudos to all the wonderful efforts the students are putting into developing young talent for this great University.Organizing Secretary and Director ASET Maj Gen (Dr) SC Jain, VSM** (Retd.) also conveyed best wishes for the wonderful organization of Youth Fest by our students.
At the end of the AYF-2K19 prizes up toTwo Lakhs (90 Thousand cash) and appreciation certificates were distributed to the participants of the Amity Youth Fest by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor and HoIs of AUMP. The Deans, Registrar, Director (Administration), Heads of Schools, faculty members, staff members and students were present on the occasion. The vote of thanks was proposed by the Mr. Abhay Bhadoria and Ms. Rashi Rohira, student co-ordinators of the AYF. The programme was headed by Maj. Gen. (Dr.) S. C. Jain, Director, ASET, Amity University Madhya Pradesh. The event concluded with a DJ Night that allowed the coordinators and participants to relax and rejoice.
Out of 3100 students who requested for AMICROMA 2K19 800 from different colleges and Schools like IIITM Gwalior, ITM University, Jiwaji University, M.I.T.S., IHM College, Prestige college of Management,and schools like Greenwood, DPS, LAHS participated in the events. A brief report of the Amity Youth Fest - AMICHROMA was presented by Mr. Nasir Khan, convener of the Fest –AMICHROMA 2K19.
An enthusiastic response from the students, participants, faculty members was observed during AYF.
