Amiworld-(https://amitycse.eu.org) is an educational-cum-social networking site designed especially for Amitians to make teaching and learning process simpler and effective. It is quite popular among faculty and students. An in-campus mini social portable network has been developed under this project to make judicious use of digital learning and sensitise users about its relevance in this digital era. This site encompasses all key features of social networking site like Friends Connection (Request, Messaging and Chat); Group, Public and Private Discussion; document sharing among users; and Q/A Forum. Many innovative features are on anvil. The website also contains study material like power point presentations, notes (PDF version), previous year question papers, course structure/syllabus etc., and an integrated e-library which comprises digital e-books related to engineering programs. Students can simply login, checkout and download these resources free of cost. In this web application all the modern security methods has been incorporated to make it a secure entity. The portal uses below-mentioned security parameters HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) DDOS and Brute-Force Protection and IP Logging Proxy which hides Server Identity Proxy which hides Server Identity The data of users is isolated from the real world in Ami World and is used only to improve services and to give better interface to students. Users’ have right to access to their data that has been provided by them as well as can control its privacy. The website ensures that there is no leakage of data or instances of data theft. Additionally, all the passwords are encrypted with one-way hash algorithm (SHA-512) to avoid data leakage.
