ADMISSION NOTICE-1999 |
Indraprastha University renamed as Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, has been established by the government of Delhi as an affiliating and teaching university, to facilitate and promote studies, research and extension work in emerging areas of higher education, with focus on professional education.
The university invites applications on the prescribed form for admission to the various self financing institutions, which are likely to be provisionally affiliated to the university, for the conduct of the programmes mentioned below, for the academic session 1999-2000. Admissions are to be made on the basis of the entrance test to be held separately for each programme, as per the schedule indicated below:

The names of the Institutions, the programmes which are to be conducted and the number of seats in each institute for which admissions are to be made shall be displayed on notice board of the University subsequently 50% of the seats are categorized as free seats, while remaining 50% as paid seats including 5% for NRI/NRI sponsored candidates. There is region-wise allocation as well as reservation for SC, ST & children/wards of defence personnel, in the available seats as detailed in the information bulletin.
Full details regarding region-wise allocation/reservation, eligibility conditions, schedule of entrance tests etc are given in the Information Bulletin containing the application form. The Information Bulletin along with application form can be purchased against cash payment or by a Bank Draft of Rs. 500/-, drawn in favour of Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Kashmere Gate, Delhi-110006 from 20th September 1999 to 8th October 1999 on any working day between 10:00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. (Monday to Friday). Separate application form to be filled for each test.
Request for application form, if required by post, must reach the university office along with a self addressed envelope of not less than 24X30 cms with postal stamps of Rs. 40/- by 30th September, 1999 positively. Requests received thereafter shall not be entertained.
Completed application forms should reach the university office by hand or post by 5:00 p.m. on 8th October, 1999. Application recieved thereafter shall not be entertained.
