Amity School of Communication organized a One Day Workshop on “Skills and Challenges of Corporate Communication” on 27th July, 2017. Keeping into consideration the fact that Public Relations and Corporate Communication is one of the major subjects taught across different UG and PG Programmes of Amity School of Communication, the workshop highly contributed in enhancing the practical field based knowledge of the students related to the subject. Mr. Dayal highlighted some of the very fundamental thrust areas related with the skills and challenges of a Corporate Communicator drawing student’s attention towards some of the very basic nitty gritties of the profession. His enlightened discourse was an eye opener for the students as it focused on some of the challenges encountered by a corporate communicator in terms of handling the very important Media Relations. Mr. Dayal explained the strategies and challenges of cultivating strong Media Relations by citing various case studies as well as by showing certain befitting videos related to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and its very systematic and well organized Corporate Communication Department. Mr. Giri coordinated a very interesting practical session where students were given various field based situations where they had to demonstrate the strategies and tools they would employ.

The workshop was very fruitful in the direction of providing knowledge to the students related with the various emerging trends and techniques of the field and how to develop a command over them in order to excel in the profession of Corporate Communication.
