The 8th Convocation of AUR for Class of 2016 was conducted on 21st January 2017. Hon’ble Founder President Sir, Chairperson Madam, Chancellor Sir, Madam Divya Chauhan along with other family members and dignitaries were kind to grace the occasion and bless all the graduands and others present in the audience.
03 eminent dignitaries as below were conferred Honoris Causa
Princess Diya Kumari, at Jaipur, sitting MLA, Educationist and Philanthropist was conferred upon Doctor of Philosophy [D.Phil.]
Prof. Ashok Panagariya, Ex Vice chancellor, RUHS, Former Director SMS Medical College and well known Neurosurgeon was conferred upon Doctor of Science [D.Sc.]
Mr. Prasoon Joshi, Chairman Mc Cann Worldgroup, Asia Pacific, Lyricist and Author was conferred upon Doctor of Philosophy [D.Phil.]

Prof. Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary-DST was the 'Guest-of-Honour'. As many as 888 graduands including 03 Doctoral, 195 Post Graduate and 690 Graduate students of the Class of 2016 were conferred degrees at an impressive ceremony. 59 Medals, 37 Silver Salvers and 03 Trophies were awarded. 29 meritorious students of various programs were awarded “Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan Scholarship”.
The ceremony, which was held in the amphitheatre next to the picturesque lake, started with a Academic Procession comprising of Founder President, Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Members of Trustees, Recipients of Honoris Causa and Professorship, members of Academic Council and Board of Management etc., Office bearers of the University, Directors and Faculty Members. The procession was led by an Army Band. The convocation ceremony was attended by the dignitaries, special invitees, graduands, parents/guardians, faculty members, staff members, and officials of the University.
The Hon’ble Founder President blessed the graduands by his motivational speech, inspired the students, and ignited their thought process and gave ‘Mantra’ as how to excel in life. He shared his confidence with the graduands, their parents, and the guests that the graduands of the Amity have holistic development and they are first human beings and then competent professionals with a deep sense of responsibility and well prepared to face the challenges of the global competitors.
